THE TERRITORY

Surrounded by lush greenery, along the Roman Via "Iulia Augusta" which connects Italy to "Norico" (Austria), near the storical area "Iulium Carnicum" and the spa resort of Arta, the holiday house,  "Paola di Rosa" is the ideal place for a relaxing spa vacation.

Arta Terme is a village in the splendid and pristine Carnia region. It is situated at 442 metres above sea level on the route to the well-known Zoncolan ski resort also made famous for its involvement in the Italian bicycle race called "Giro d'Italia".

This tranquil mountain location offers and is ideal for its wonderful hiking excursions, challenging mountain climbing as well as for its fabulous motorbike, bicycle, mountain bike and horseback riding itineraries.We are located on the "Cammino delle Pievi ", a walkway inspired by the Santiago Cammino of Campostela. Present along the path are the storical Carnia churches;  a place of tranquillity and spiritual reflection.

 THE ACCOMODATION

Our house, managed by the sisters congregation of "Ancelle della Carita' di Brescia" and by lay staff, welcomes you in a family-like , peaceful manner and setting. We offer single, double and triple rooms, dormitories with private bathrooms for a total of 64 beds, wi-fi internet throughout, tv, reading room, children's area, large enclosed park with outdoor children playground for their exclusive use, a lift, accessible rooms for the disabled and a covered car park.We are a certified "bicycle friendly " establishment declared by the FIAB -Bicycle friendly Italian FederationThere's also a chapel, where Holy Mass is celebrated weekly and where one can seek spiritual and religious repose.

A cycle route connects us to Tolmezzo and to the splendid Alpe Adria which allows bicycle lovers to ride from Salsburg to Grado.

In the town there are caffès, a bakery. a newsagent's, restaurants, pizzerias, a spa resort with indoor pool, a playground and within just  9kms there is a cinema, a theater, a bank, a laundry, a swimming pool and a gym.
