Welcome to Handeland Gjestegard, with houses from old times and surrounded by the activities from the farm. The guesthouse is surrounded by fields and located close to mountain, fjords and the main road. Cattle and sheep graze close by the farm. Handeland Gjestegard is suited for groups and families as well as single travellers.. If you wish to shop, it only takes ten minutes by car to the centre Husnes, where there are great possibilities for such activities. Hadeland gjestegard is an historical pearl just at the gate of Handeland valley, surroundeed by beautiful nature. As hosts of the farm we hopefully belive it has a future, based on what we alredy have created as well as a further developement of the farm as a center for tourism culture, and of course the very beautiful nature we have near by. In the Handeland valley you can walk on the pats along the river, looking at the hillsides and the mountains, and enjoy a beautiful nature. After two kms. along the road you will find a charming barbecue cottage where families can enjoy their outings. Here is canoe you can use – one of the most popular pasitimes for children angling for river trout. The valley road is suited for prams and wheelchairs. The valley leads to several fine lakes offering good trout fishing. Good fishing in the rivers as well. Wonderfull scenery and easily accessible for family outing.
